Welcome…

Welcome to davidpbrown.net, the new online residence for the thoughts and going-ons of David P Brown. For those of you that know me or know of my previous blog, yes I folded under the pressure and shut down the site. Most of you know why I had to do this.

So how will this site be different from my old blog? Not much… I’ll still post sporadically. I’ll still post my opinions on people, society, and current events. I’ll still try to be humorous while doing so. The major difference being in the tone and language used, no more shock talk for the sake of shock talk. It’s just not worth it unless you’re bringing in the big bucks.

Please pardon the mess around here. I was kind of rushed to put this up. So sit back and read this post over and over again until there is something else to read.

Thanks for stopping by.

Glad to have you back.. even if it’s the edited form.
At least I know you well enough to create a reverse filter to make it sound like you!

Hmm.. I could make a website that’s dedicated to translating your blogs into that “other guy”…

    *grins*

Imagine the pennies a site like that would generate!

As your devoted, drunken blog groupie I demand you not let “the man” get you down. I find it unfortunate that you feel you cannot express how you REALLY feel. Perhaps your approach (i.e. tone and language) is a bit harsh but that’s what makes you special. What next? Will you start wearing pink panties?

I had a chance to look at Dooce.com and realized I know that chica. B-A-B-A-R-B-A-R-T-L-E-Double-T…BARTLETT…PAIN-THERS! Must be a Memphis curse now…

Peace out and I owe you some beers.

Thanks for the devotion BooBoo. I’m still going to say all the crazy stuff that enters my simple brain, I’m just going to try and do it in a less over-the-top manner. Of course I’ll probably lose what few readers I have because of that, but oh well… what can a brother do?

So Dooce is from Memphis? I never read her site so there’s no way I would have known that. Too funny… My father, aunt, and uncle all graduated from Bartlett… scary.

  5. BooBoo Says:

Small world, huh? Yeah, she was valedictorian of ‘93. My ex from Memphis dated half the cheerleading squad of ‘93 and ‘94. The whore. Sad to tell you I despised Bartlett being a Midtowner and all. Her blog is pretty cool. I think you should check it out. It might just give you some inspiration:)

I actually grew up in Bartlett and had I not been going to private school, would have ended up at Bartlett. My cousins all went there. Glad I was able to get out of there and go to The Hooch instead.

Might be the first person to be glad to have gone to the “hooch”..

You’re letting the liberals win with your Don Imus ‘cowering in the corner’ act. Seroiusly man….dont let your balls shoot back up into the scrot.

  11. dpb Says:

NRB, trust me, I’m far from cowering in the corner. I’ll still post my views here. The only difference will be in the language and tone in which I express that opinion. It still sucks that I have to censor myself this way.

    debbie, hi

Tym, oh come on, The Hooch wasn’t THAT bad.

  12. vttym Says:

Wait.. are you censoring yet? Is that why you’re saying that?

    :)

  13. dpb Says:

Tym, granted I have no basis for comparison but seriously, was high school really all that terrible? I mean, it’s high school so it ain’t going to rock but I didn’t think it was all that horrible.
