Camp Twin Lakes

Yesterday I did something that most of you would find totally out of character for me. I donated to a charity. Actually, it’s not what I would consider a charity and maybe that’s the reason I had no problem donating. The organization is Camp Twin Lakes, a summer camp for children with disabilities or diseases. I heard about the charity via a fund-raiser the guys on 790 The Zone were doing all day yesterday. They had a few of the kids on the air telling their stories and it all sounded pretty good to me. So before heading into Taco Mac for a beer and some grub, I called the number and donated $100. Granted, it’s not a lot of dough but it made me feel good to do it.

Very cool…Tym and I did the same when the Imus Ranch was having their annual fundraiser (which by the way was the day NBC fired him). It felt like a good thing to do for sick children.

Perhaps they have not glued your name to the door of your suite in hell yet :)

Don’t be fooled, Jenn! There are teenage girls at this camp, and Dave’s trying to work his way into an invitation… :-)

Ah yes…I should have known :)

Way to fuck up natural selection, Dave.

Good for you! And by the way, for most open-solicit-type charity functions, the “average” donation is 10.00; you’ve just secured a lot of instant karma.

You also have shown that you are still a worthwhile person…even if you fucking insist on using “anyways” all the time.

I must have run that karma dry… I got a speeding ticket last night and bumped my car into one of the cement poles in the parking garage at work.
