We The People?

Congress has a lower approval rating than the President yet, historically speaking, 95% of these politicians will be re-elected to office. What does this say about the voting base of our country? Who is really in charge here? It seems to me our democracy* is merely an illusion.

Considering the idiot we have for president and the fact that he won two terms in office says plenty about the voting base in our country and none of it good….

The low approval has a lot to do with the fact that people are mad b/c the Dems lied to them about the war. They campaigned on ending the war and have been caught in a phony, self-serving lie. It’s good to see that politicizing the war the way the Dems have is coming back to bite them in their pelosi.

You are correct in your assessment, however, at least they are showing attempts to do something about it. It will take time to clean up the huge mess the Shrub administration is going to leave and the war is one of those messes in my opinion.
