Game Boy

Over the weekend I broke down and purchased my very first gaming system ever. It’s been a long time since I’ve played games. The last system I had was the Super Nintendo was a gift (birthday?) from my mom.

Now as much fun as the swinging bachelor life is, there are certain periods of boredom and I reasoned a gaming system could remedy that problem. When the latest round of consoles came out, I gave serious thought to picking one of them up but resisted with the idea that the last thing I needed was another excuse to stay in the house. As much as I feel I’m destined to live the hermit lifestyle, there’s no reason to accelerate the process.

With that in mind, I bought the gaming system I felt would help solve the boredom problem but would also not tie me to the house. That system is the Nintendo DS. It’s pretty sweet. I, of course, knew about the touch screen but I didn’t realize the other levels of interactivity it had. For instance, in Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass, you must blow out candles by blowing into the DS (can’t wait to see a Leisure Suit Larry Game take advantage of this feature) and in Brain Age 2, you play Rock, Paper, Scissors by actually saying “Rock”, “Paper”, or “Scissors”. Crazy ain’t it?

Anyone else have a DS? Any recommended games?

Yes, this will most likely interfere with my reading.

Cool! I would get the New Super Mario and Tetris. I am asking for a DS for Christmas.

Yeah, I was pretty certain I would end up with the new Mario. How can you own a Nintendo product without owning a Super Mario game? Just not possible…

Not sure about the Tetris though…

Boredom problem, eh. Who needs gaming when there’s free porn on the Internet?

Less time to read Boortz. I support this purchase.

Eater, when it comes to Internet porn, I’m beat.

Andy, Boortz has a new book coming out in January, a following to the FairTax Book entitled FairTax: The Truth. I’ll put the DS down to read that book.

Yet another reason for you NOT to get laid…just sayin’. “Come home with me, lady. We shall play Zelda and then I will carry you to my love den.” Ha…

Yeah, as if I would let some girl play with my DS.
