More ComCast Hating
Since I’m on a roll with posts about how crappy ComCast is, I thought I would share with you this little gem I came across today. engadget is covering a report that ComCast has sent The NFL Network a ‘cease and desist’ letter in regards to the website iwantnflnetwork.com which encourages people to switch to a provider that offers the channel.
Dear ComCast,
Instead of threatening a TV network which has programming so good that people are willing to change providers, why not spend your efforts, money, and resources on providing the channel? It would be great if you would offer that channel in HD as well (DirecTV does).

I am by no means a Comcast defender but they do offer NFL Netowrk in HD…channel 879. It didn’t make my Falcons play any better but they sure looked nice last Thursday. I’m guessing you only get it if you pay for the Sports Entertainment package, which includes NFL, NBA and the main reason I got it, Fox Soccer Channel. I am a soccer loving loser.

I knew they had NFL Network but it’s news to me that it’s now offered in HD. Problem is, as you stated, you have to pay extra for it. DirecTV (as I understand) gives you all the HD channels as part of their package… my ComCast bill is already nearly $150/mo. Why should I pay more?

Your Comcast bill is $150/month!! Thats crazy – DTV is $70 for everything. I never thought satellite would be cheaper than cable.

Jenn, the $150 includes my Internet access as well. Unfortunately I’m not going to be able to make it down this weekend, there’s a work function I can’t miss Saturday night. I’ll be watching and rooting for you guys though, Go Hokies!

Ah…makes sense. Thats still lots of $$ but cable modem is the only way to go in my opinion.

I hate Comcast. Tune in to my site. Again. I’ve changed it up. No longer a rant about kids but more of the conditions I work in. I hate fuckers. Peace.

Those buggers took my web page…a sports channel is premium with them…my bill went to 170.00 …now I have to live on the streets…
