Cowher would more than likely want total control of the team which means buy-bye Rich McKay … and honestly, I’m ok with that. I haven’t seen where McKay has really lived up to the hype. All of our first round picks under him have yet to develop and he’s responsible for Mora and Petrino.

The only thing that *might* put a spanner in the works is Carolina possibly firing John Fox, and Charlotte is a lot closer to the Cowher home in Raleigh than Atlanta

That’s why we need to go ahead and wrap Cowher up before the end of the season. In all honesty though, I don’t see Cowher coming here. I suspect he would want a team in a little bit less duress than ours (mine… you still a Falcons fan or have you turned to the darkside?)

I applaud Petrino for leaving. He did the right thing. It would have been worse if he had stuck around for another season or two. Imagine how long this nightmare could have continued.
Everyone keeps saying “Cowher” but Cowher. I don’t think a big name will come. That’s just dreaming. I think they will pick up an OC or DC from a successful team, but not somebody like Cowher. I would be shocked.
