Cooking Classes and pre-Marylin Manson
I started a cooking class last week. It’s the Aprons deal through Publix. Last week we learned how to hold a knife, cut, and yell, “KNIFE! BEHIND YOU! SHARP!” while walking through the kitchen. I’ve carried these new found skills to the office and can be heard saying, “HOLE PUNCHER! AT MY DESK! HOLEY!” I’m rad.
Last night was week two, the topic was emulsions a.k.a. salad dressing. I’m not a fan of salad dressing. I never put it on my salad therefore I have little use for it. Ranch is good on homemade potato chips though. We didn’t learn how to make ranch. We did sear/bake some salmon. I’ve never been much of a fish fan but I must say, it was pretty damn tasty. Maybe my taste buds are changing in my old age.
I’m going to the Marylin Manson show tonight with a couple of my new neighbors. One is a huge fan, the other agreed to go while drunk and has been regretting it ever since. Sucks to be her. Other than the radio hits MM has had, I’ve never listened to much of his music. I do dig the whole goth/emo look though. I’m hoping to score with a tattooed and/or pierced goth chick tonight. If girls didn’t hate their fathers, I don’t know how I would ever get laid*.
I’ll write about the show tomorrow, or I won’t. You’ll just have to wait and find out, or you won’t.
*For some reason that sentence actually makes sense in my head.

No… woke up alone as is usual. Guess there wasn’t enough father hating in the crowd to get me laid … which is pretty said considering where I was.
