Natural Born Kickers
After playing flag football the other day, I decided I needed to get out and do more shit like that. One of the neighbs suggested we join a kickball team. I suggested we start our own. After begging and pleading with people who for some reason or another voluntarily hang out with me (some call these people friends), the Natural Born Kickers was born.
I’m pretty excited about this and can’t wait for the first game. Speaking of which, games will be played on Sundays from 2p-5p starting March 30th. The season is 10 weeks and division champions or something get an invitation to Las Vegas for the Founders Cup. I seriously doubt NBK will make it that far. We’re all probably better drinkers than we are ball kickers.
Anyways, registration ends today and we currently have 14 players (only need 11) but would love to have any others join if they would like. So, if you’re reading this in time and would like to join, registration costs $63 and can be done at kickball.com. Join the GA Lightening Division and select Natural Born Killers as your team.
Team names thrown out:
Amber Alerts (my personal fav)
David and the Ball Kickers (neighbors personal fav)
Kickle Me Elmo (Coworkers personal fav)
Sir Kicksalot
Serial Kickers
Hooray for Boobies
Intergalactic Fingrebang (the initial front runner)
Kickaholics (name I came up with after the team name was decided)
More posts regarding this to follow I’m sure.

But of course! I’m certain blog groupies can make excellent kickball groupies.

Ok that rules…I wish we weren’t 13 hours away. Last summer a random kickball was left on the ball field across the street from our house, so of course we just had to play. It ruled. We now have our own kickballs and play with the neighborhood people from time to time. Good luck and try not to get hit in the head!

Yeah, wish you guys were down here for this, too (and just in general). It should be a lot of fun. I’ll update with pics and recaps of the games.

Oddly enough, the games will be played OTP in Sandy Springs or as I like to call it, ATP (At the Perimeter).

That’s what I get for relying on RSS feeds. I totally missed this. I would have signed up in a second.
